Lucas Papaw Ointment, made from fermented Australian papaw (papaya) is the best first-aid balm for you and family. This natural and petroleum-based balm is considered safe by dermatologists. With antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, this multiple-purpose healing topical balm is effective for relief of dry skin, insect bites, minor burns, scrapes, bruises, chapped lip and many more!

“Most popular Lip Balm in Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2014 and 2015”

The ointment contains 39mg/gm of fresh fermented pawpaw, unguent Carica Papaya L, and 0.1mg/g of potassium sorbate as a preservative.

Apply Lucas Papaw Ointment to the affected area and gently rub in. Reapply whenever necessary. Suitable for all skin types. Safe for babies.

Q: Why does there seem like there is only a small amount of papaw in each pack?

A: The fermentation process concentrates the powerful enzymes found in papaws. Hundreds of papaws are used to make one batch of concentrate. The fresh fermented concentrate cannot be applied directly to the skin. The concentrate must be distibuted within the carrier (petroleum jelly) to achieve the correct concentration for safe and effective application to the skin. It is the same as a pain relief tablet where a small amount of paracetamol (active ingredient) is contained in each tablet (carrier).

Q: Can I use it on my lips?

A: Lucas’ Papaw Ointment is ideal for lips if you want to help heal or sooth inflamed, chapped or broken skin.

Q: Is Lucas’ Papaw Ointment a moisturizer?

A: Lucas’ Papaw Ointment helps skin retain its own moisture which stops it from drying out. But the main benefits are the healing qualities of the product. It has no added moisturisers.

Q: Is the petroleum jelly safe?

A: Lucas’ Papaw Ointment only uses pharmaceutical grade petroleum jelly that is strictly certified to ensure its safety and quality. USP grade Petrolatums are not mutagenic or toxic.

Petroleum jelly is the “carrier” that supports the active ingredient – fresh fermented papaw. Petroleum jelly does not block pores, is not carcinogenic or toxic. It has been affirmed to be non-comedogenic (does not block pores) and to not cause allergic reactions (American Academy of Dermatology Invitational on Comedogenicity, 1989)

  1. 5 out of 5

Saw this on a random you tube video and very happy I ordered it. My very chapped lips were back to normal after using this for only one night. I have also started using it on my dry hands at night, and it works wonders. A little goes a long way, so this one small tube will last for quite a while.

Good for my kids’ mosquito bites as they tend to get swollen bites. After applying, the bites heal quite fast and did not get swollen.
